Question 1. You’re a Rose Hill student, and the Walsh Library has no circulating copies available of a book you wish to check out. What should you do?

1. Call the Circulation Desk at any NYPL branch, and ask the librarian there to send you NYPL’s copy of the book via USPS
2. Determine whether either library at the Marymount and Lincoln Center campuses have a circulating copy available; if so, make a request at Walsh’s circulation desk to have that title sent to Rose Hill.
3. Visit any area university library which you’ve determined owns the title; your Fordham ID will gain you admittance to that library
4. Ascend to the parapets and scream your indignation to the unheeding Fates.

Question 2. Why place a “Recall” request on a Fordham book currently charged out?

1. You’re assured of getting access to the requested title within a week.
2. You’ll at least have the satisfaction of irritating the current borrower.
3. You stand a good chance of having the book made available to you at your campus library in a reasonable time period.

3. Call the journal’s publisher and ask him/her to FAX you the article.
